ProROLA is a professional field monitoring application used for recording and managing GPS routes and monitoring sessions.

2.1 Location Data

Precise GPS Location (Foreground): When you start a monitoring session, the app collects your precise GPS location (latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, heading, and accuracy) to record your route in real time. This data is collected only while a monitoring session is actively running.

Precise GPS Location (Background): With your explicit permission, the app continues to collect your GPS location when the app is minimized, the screen is locked, or during phone calls. This ensures your route is recorded without interruptions during an active monitoring session. Background location collection only occurs during active monitoring sessions and stops when the session ends.

How location data is used:

• To display your current position on the map during monitoring
• To record the GPS route/trajectory of your monitoring session
• To calculate distance traveled and speed during monitoring
• To generate monitoring session reports

When location data is collected: Location data is only collected during active monitoring sessions that you explicitly start. The app does not track your location at any other time.

2.2 Account Information

Authentication Data: When you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address and authentication credentials to manage your account securely.

2.3 Photos and Camera

Camera and Photo Library: With your permission, the app allows you to take photos or select images from your gallery to attach to monitoring sessions and reports.

2.4 Device Information

Device Data: We collect basic device information (operating system, platform) to ensure the app functions correctly on your device.

3. Use of Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Monitoring Services: To provide GPS route recording and monitoring session management
• Route Recording: To accurately record your trajectory during active monitoring sessions, including when the app is in the background
• Session Reports: To generate reports containing route data, distance, duration, and attached media for your monitoring sessions
• Account Management: To authenticate users and manage access to the app
• Improving Services: To improve app performance, GPS accuracy, and user experience

4. Data Storage

Cloud Storage: Monitoring session data (including GPS routes, session details, and attached photos) is stored securely on Firebase (Google Cloud) servers.

Local Storage: GPS data may be temporarily stored on your device during an active session to prevent data loss. This local data is cleared after it is synced to the cloud.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your data may be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, data storage, and file storage. These services process your data according to their own privacy policies.
• Organization Access: If you use ProROLA as part of an organization, authorized members of your organization may have access to your monitoring session data and reports as part of the normal workflow.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your data if required by law or in response to valid legal processes.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse:

• SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between the app and our servers
• Secure authentication through Firebase Authentication
• Firestore security rules to restrict data access to authorized users

We retain your monitoring session data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide our services.

Temporary GPS data stored locally on your device during active sessions is cleared once synced or when the session ends.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

• Photo Library: Optional — allows you to select photos from your gallery to attach to monitoring sessions
• Notifications: Optional — used to show a persistent notification during background GPS recording (Android only)

10. Children's Privacy

ProROLA is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
